This Privacy Policy explains how RENAI ("RENAI", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit renai.pt(the "Site") or contact us. RENAI is an operational sustainability platform for industry, currently an MVP in validation.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect

Information you give us. When you book a call or contact us through the Site, we collect your name, company, email address, the date and time you select, and anything you choose to write to us.

Information collected automatically. With your consent, we use analytics to understand how the Site is used — for example pages viewed, approximate region, referring source, and general device and browser information. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

We do not intentionally collect special categories of data (such as health or political data), and the Site is not directed at children.

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

To schedule and hold the call you request — on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and your consent.
To respond to your enquiries and communicate with you — on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
To measure and improve the Site through analytics — only on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims — on the basis of our legal obligations and legitimate interests.

4. Cookies and analytics

We only load analytics and non-essential cookies after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site and our business, and only as needed:

Google — we use Google services to manage bookings (calendar invitations and video meetings) and, with your consent, Google Analytics to measure Site usage.
Vercel — our hosting provider, which serves the Site and processes basic technical request data.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep booking and contact information for as long as needed to follow up on your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. Analytics data is retained for a limited period in line with our analytics provider's settings.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data; to ask us to correct or delete it; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@renai.pt.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), cnpd.pt.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product and our practices evolve. We will update the date above when we do, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
